Elrik, a European moose, arrived at the zoo after being orphaned in the wild. Standing over six feet tall, he was an imposing yet gentle creature. Elrik quickly became a favorite due to his love for carrots and his quirky habit of “talking” to zookeepers by grunting.
The zoo created a spacious forest enclosure for Elrik, complete with natural vegetation and a pond. He often entertained visitors by playfully dunking his antlers in water and shaking them dry.
